Ticket Protection Program

Updated September 30, 2024

The Ticket Protection Program applies to “Official Online Box Office” tickets purchased directly on SeatGeek.com and the SeatGeek app and tickets bought at the venue Box Office with the ticket protection upsell after July 9, 2024.

Ticket Protection is available for the following shows:

  • The Book of Mormon at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre
  • Hadestown at the Walter Kerr Theatre
  • Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre
  • Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club at the August Wilson Theatre
  • Sunset Blvd. at the St. James Theatre

A ticket purchaser that has elected to purchase the ticket protection upsell will be eligible to receive a refund of the ticket price paid by the purchaser for the ticket(s) should the ticket holder be unable to use the ticket(s) for any reason. The refundable amount includes the ticket price, as well as any service fees, concessions, merchandise, and VIP experiences purchased within the same order as the Ticket Protection upsell, as listed in the SeatGeek or Box Office order confirmation.

The Ticket Protection fee is nonrefundable, even in the case of an above-the-title star absence or performance cancellation. Ticket protection may not be resold, transferred, or exchanged.

Refund requests must be submitted online at www.ticket-refunds.com before sixty (60) days after the scheduled date and time of the event (as stated on the applicable tickets). Any requests received after this deadline will not be eligible for a refund.

Eligibility for a ticket refund is also subject to the following conditions:

  • Only one order per customer per event purchased within any consecutive 28-day period can be submitted for refund;
  • The customer making the refund application must be the original purchaser of the tickets and will need to validate being the original purchaser (i.e. name, order number, e-mail address, etc.) when submitting the refund request;
  • Any refund application found to be fraudulent will result in the refund being denied;
  • Tickets purchased via resale, ticket brokers, or any other outlet are not eligible for a refund;
  • Tickets that have been resold or exchanged are not eligible for a refund;
  • Tickets that have been transferred must be transferred back to the original ticket holder to be eligible for a refund;
  • Any ticket that has been scanned for entry into the theatre will not be eligible for a refund; and
  • Events that have been canceled, postponed, or rescheduled will not be covered by Ticket Protection, and instead eligible tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase.

For approved refunds, a credit will be issued via wire transfer or PayPal.

Refund requests are administered by Secure Refunds. Approval of and/or determination of eligibility for any refund based on the information provided by a purchaser is at the sole discretion of Secure Refunds. All decisions are final.
