When you arrive
Your safety is our highest concern. Doors will open approximately 45 minutes prior to show time, so please arrive early and leave plenty of time for security screening, which includes walk-through metal detectors and bag inspections. No weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives, tasers, mace, and pepper spray, are allowed. Additionally, personal alarms, glass bottles/containers, lighters, illegal substances, and alcohol are not permitted. Theatre Management reserves the right to prohibit other items as deemed necessary.
Where are your seats?
Orchestra seats are located on the main floor of the theatre. Mezzanine seats are located on the second seating level: up 37 steps. The Balcony is located on the third level up: up an additional 15 steps. Please be aware that the theatre does not have an elevator. However, all staircases have handrails.
What to wear?
While some theatregoers do get dressed up for their visit to our theatres, you are welcome to wear what makes you most comfortable. Keep in mind that our theatres are kept cool year-round, so you may want to bring a sweater.

Drinks and snacks
Drinks and snacks can be purchased at the bars in the back of the Orchestra and Mezzanine levels. Please bring concessions to your seat to enjoy.
The restrooms are located up one flight of stairs on either side of the Orchestra. The accessible restroom is located on the house left side of the Orchestra level. Gender diversity is welcome here. We encourage you to use the restroom that best fits your gender identity or expression.
There is no coat check at the theatre, but if you have a large bag we’d be happy to check it for you. Please speak to a member of our staff when you arrive.

The Walter Kerr Theatre provides wheelchair-accessible seating on the Orchestra level of the theatre for all performances for patrons who use wheelchairs and their companions. There are no steps leading into the Orchestra level of the theatre from the sidewalk. There are steps to access seating on other levels of the theatre. Pricing for wheelchair-accessible seats on the Orchestra level varies so as to capture the range of prices available throughout the theatre.

Accessibility by seating section
Orchestra seating is accessible without steps with the exception of rows R and S, which are located up 1 step. There are no steps to the designated wheelchair seating locations. Wheelchair seating is in the Orchestra only.
Located on the 2nd Level: up 37 steps from the Orchestra. Entrance to Mezzanine is behind row H. There are handrails along both sides of every aisle in the mezzanine.
Located on the 3rd Level: up 52 steps from the Orchestra. Entrance to Balcony is behind row B.

The Walter Kerr Theatre offers D-Scriptive devices, I-Caption devices, infrared headsets, audio induction neck loops, and Showtrans devices in Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, and Korean. If an assistive device would help you enjoy the show, please visit the headset booth in the Orchestra lobby. There is no charge, but a valid photo ID is required as a deposit.
