What is SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY?

SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY is a solo acoustic performance written and performed by Bruce Springsteen under the lights of Broadway. It is an intimate night with Bruce, his guitar, a piano, and his stories.

Why SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY?

“My vision of these shows is to make them as personal and intimate as possible. I chose Broadway for this project because it has the beautiful old theaters which seemed like the right setting for what I have in mind… My show is just me, the guitar, the piano and the words and music. Some of the show is spoken, some of it is sung, all of it together is in pursuit of my constant goal—to communicate something of value,” says Springsteen. 

Where is SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY being performed?

SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY is being performed at the St. James Theatre, 246 West 44th Street (between Broadway and 8th Avenue), New York, NY 10036.

What is the schedule? 

Performances begin Saturday, June 26, 2021. Shows run Tuesday through Saturday with an 8pm start time. Shows begin on time. Latecomers will be seated at management’s discretion if seat location allows them to be seated without disrupting the show or fellow audience members. All dates and times are subject to change. What is the running time of the show / Is there an intermission?

The show runs approximately 2 hours 20 minutes. There is no intermission.

You can purchase tickets on SeatGeek using any major international credit card. If you are unable to access or download the SeatGeek app, you can still transact online on SeatGeek.com.

How much do tickets cost?

Ticket prices vary depending on many factors, including day of the week and location within the theater. SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY tickets range in price from $75 to $850.

How do I access my ticket?

All tickets for SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY are mobile tickets that must be displayed on a smartphone. You can find your tickets in the Tickets tab of your account on SeatGeek.com and in the SeatGeek app.

Do I need to use the SeatGeek app to display my tickets / I can’t download the SeatGeek app, what do I do?

While you may choose to display your tickets using the SeatGeek app, you can also display them using a mobile browser. Just log into SeatGeek.com from your preferred web browser on your phone or mobile device, and open your tickets in the Tickets tab. The St. James Theatre offers free wifi, which you can use to load your tickets from outside the theatre.

How do I send a ticket to someone on SeatGeek?

There are multiple people in my party. Does each person need to have their own ticket on their phone?

You do not need to send a ticket to each person in your party, as long as you enter the theatre together. As the ticket holder, you will be responsible for completing the COVID-19 Survey on behalf of everyone in your party.

If you’d like each person to have their own mobile ticket, sending a ticket to someone is easy on SeatGeek.

I didn’t buy my ticket on SeatGeek. Is my ticket still valid?

We are unable to verify any tickets that are not purchased through the SeatGeek platform or at the theatre box office. Please reach out to the seller to ensure they send you your mobile ticket on SeatGeek by following these steps. The seller does not need to be able to view the QR code to send your ticket to you.

Screenshots and printouts of mobile tickets will not be accepted for entry into the theatre. Only mobile tickets displayed through SeatGeek.com or in the SeatGeek app, or tickets printed at the St. James Box Office are considered valid tickets to SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY.

What is your return policy?

There are no refunds or exchanges for tickets to SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY. Guests may transfer their electronic tickets free of charge prior to the start of their performance if they purchased their tickets through SeatGeek.com and are unable to attend on the day of the show. 

Is the St. James Box Office open?

COVID-19

Do I need to be fully vaccinated to attend SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY?

Following amended New York State guidelines, we are now permitted to welcome guests who meet the following requirements.

Guests will need to be fully vaccinated with an FDA or WHO approved vaccine in order to attend SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY and must show proof of vaccination at their time of entry into the theatre with their valid ticket. “Fully vaccinated” means the performance date you are attending must be:

  • at least 14 days after your second dose of a FDA or WHO approved two dose COVID-19 vaccine, or 
  • at least 14 days after your single dose of a FDA or WHO approved single dose COVID-19 vaccine.

The only exception to the above will be for children under the age of 16, or those who need reasonable accommodations due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief. Children under 16 and those who need reasonable accommodations due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief also must provide proof of at least one of the following, in addition to properly wearing a mask at all times while inside the building except while seated when eating or drinking:

  • negative antigen COVID-19 test taken within 6 hours of the performance start time, or
  • negative PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time.

Proof of vaccination (or negative test for children under the age of 16 or those seeking medical or religious exceptions) must come directly from the healthcare provider that performed the vaccination (or test for children under the age of 16 or those seeking medical or religious exceptions). Guests can display proof on a smartphone or present a physical copy. New York State residents or anyone who received a COVID-19 vaccine in New York State may present proof through the use of the Excelsior Pass (for more details, visit: https://epass.ny.gov).

In addition to proof of vaccination, all guests 18 years or older must also present a government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport. Guests younger than 18 may use a government-issued photo ID or school photo ID. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who meets the above requirements.

Is theatre seating socially distant?

All seating for Springsteen on Broadway is not socially distant.

What other COVID protocols will be in place?

  • Contactless options will be available for transactions upon entry and for in-venue purchases.
  • All auditorium ventilation systems have been upgraded to MERV 13 filters.
  • EPA approved cleaning products are used along with rigorous cleaning and sanitation protocols.
  • All guests must complete a COVID-19 health screening survey within 24 hours of the performance in order to enter the theatre.

Specific health & safety protocols are subject to change but will be clearly communicated to ticket holders in advance of their performance. Ticket holders who do not comply with venue protocols will not be admitted. More details on our Ticket Holder Terms & Conditions page.

What is SeatGeek’s COVID-19 Survey / Why doesn’t my SeatGeek ticket have a QR code?

In order to reveal the QR code, at least one ticket holder in each party must complete SeatGeek’s COVID-19 Survey, which you can find right within your mobile ticket. The survey will become available only 24 hours before the performance.

  1. On the day of your performance, open your ticket by navigating to the tickets tab on SeatGeek.com or in the SeatGeek app.
  2. Click the “Complete Survey” button.
  3. Fill in your name, and carefully read and check all the boxes. If you cannot confirm any of the requested information, please contact [email protected] for guidance.
  4. Click the blue “Confirm” button.
  5. Refresh you tickets by exiting to the tickets tab and pulling down on the image of your performance (in the SeatGeek app), or refreshing your browser (on SeatGeek.com).
  6. Your ticket QR code will now be available for scanning. Enjoy the show!

What are the questions in SeatGeek’s COVID-19 Survey?

At least one ticket holder in each party will have to complete SeatGeek’s COVID-19 survey before the party enters the theatre. The following information will be required:

  1. Each attendee’s full name
  2. Confirmation that each attendee has not experienced COVID-19 symptoms in the last 24 hours
  3. Confirmation that each attendee has not been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 48 hours
  4. Confirmation that each attendee has not been contacted by a public health authority regarding contact with an individual infected with COVID-19 in the last 14 days
  5. Confirmation that each attendee has not been directed to quarantine by a physician or public health authority
  6. Confirmation that each attendee has not tested positive for or been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 10 days

At The Theatre

Can I bring signs / Will Bruce be taking requests?

Signs will not be allowed into the theatre for these performances. Bruce wants you to come and experience his story as he tells it in the intimate setting of the Broadway theatre.

Can I use my phone to take pictures during the show?

Photos will be allowed before the performance begins, and when the house lights come up at the end of the show.

All electronic devices should be shut off when the performance begins and the taking of photos or videos during the performance is strictly prohibited. Bruce has chosen this intimate setting to tell his story so he can be close to everybody. He wants you to experience the show directly, not through a device. In addition, every time you raise a camera, take a photo or check your phone for text messages, your seat neighbors will turn to look at you as you create light. Everybody should be there to experience Bruce, and any distractions are unfair to your fellow fans.
