What is SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY?

SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY is a solo acoustic performance written and performed by Bruce Springsteen under the lights of Broadway. It is an intimate night with Bruce, his guitar, a piano, and his stories.

Why SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY?

“My vision of these shows is to make them as personal and intimate as possible. I chose Broadway for this project because it has the beautiful old theaters which seemed like the right setting for what I have in mind… My show is just me, the guitar, the piano and the words and music. Some of the show is spoken, some of it is sung, all of it together is in pursuit of my constant goal—to communicate something of value,” says Springsteen. 

Where is SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY being performed?

SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY is being performed at the St. James Theatre, 246 West 44th Street (between Broadway and 8th Avenue), New York, NY 10036.

What is the schedule? 

Performances begin Saturday, June 26, 2021. Shows run Tuesday through Saturday with an 8pm start time. Shows begin on time. Latecomers will be seated at management’s discretion if seat location allows them to be seated without disrupting the show or fellow audience members. All dates and times are subject to change. What is the running time of the show / Is there an intermission?

The show runs approximately 2 hours 20 minutes. There is no intermission.

Ticket prices vary depending on many factors, including day of the week and location within the theater. SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY tickets range in price from $75 to $850.

How do I access my ticket?

There are multiple people in my party. Does each person need to have their own ticket on their phone?

You do not need to send a ticket to each person in your party, as long as you enter the theatre together. If you’d like each person to have their own mobile ticket, sending a ticket to someone is easy on SeatGeek.

I didn’t buy my ticket on SeatGeek. Is my ticket still valid?

We are unable to verify any tickets that are not purchased through the SeatGeek platform or at the theatre box office. Please reach out to the seller to ensure they send you your mobile ticket on SeatGeek by following these steps.

Screenshots and printouts of mobile tickets will not be accepted for entry into the theatre. Only mobile tickets displayed through SeatGeek.com or in the SeatGeek app are considered valid tickets to SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY.

What is your return policy?

There are no refunds or exchanges for tickets to SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY. Guests may transfer their tickets free of charge or resell their tickets if they purchased through SeatGeek.com or the Box Office and are unable to attend on the day of the show. 

Is the St. James Box Office open?

The St. James Box Office is now open.

Are cancellation tickets available for SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY?

Any tickets that have been returned to the Box Office are sold at face value to the cancellation line. The line for cancellation tickets forms at the theatre every day.

Is there a lottery for SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY?

A limited number of $75 tickets for each performance will be sold via an online lottery. Visit luckyseat.com to enter four days prior to a Tuesday performance, or 2 days prior to performances Wednesday through Saturday. Limit 1 entry per person, and 2 tickets per winner. Winners and non-winners will be notified at approximately 11AM ET the day before the performance. Winners must purchase tickets online using the link provided in their notification email no later than 3:00PM ET the day before the performance. Tickets may have a partial, restricted, and/or obstructed view of the stage, and pairs may be split. Winners who require accessible seating or other accommodations should contact [email protected]. Digital drawing tickets are void if re-sold.

COVID-19

Do I need to be fully vaccinated to attend SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY?

Following amended New York State guidelines, we are now permitted to welcome guests who meet the following requirements.

Guests will need to be fully vaccinated with an FDA or WHO approved vaccine in order to attend SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY and must show proof of vaccination at their time of entry into the theatre with their valid ticket. “Fully vaccinated” means the performance date you are attending must be:

  • at least 14 days after your second dose of an FDA or WHO approved two dose COVID-19 vaccine, or 
  • at least 14 days after your single dose of an FDA or WHO approved single dose COVID-19 vaccine.

The only exception to the above will be for guests under the age of 16, or those who need reasonable accommodations due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief. Guests under 16 and those who need reasonable accommodations due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief must provide proof of at least one of the following, in addition to properly wearing a mask at all times while inside the building except while seated when eating or drinking:

  • negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance start time, or
  • negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time.

Proof of vaccination (or negative test for guests under the age of 16 and those seeking reasonable accommodations due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief) must come directly from the healthcare provider that performed the vaccination (or test for guests under the age of 16 and those seeking reasonable accommodations due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief). Guests can display proof on a smartphone or present a physical copy. New York State residents, or anyone who received a COVID-19 vaccine in New York State, may present proof through the use of the Excelsior Pass (for more details, visit: https://epass.ny.gov).

In addition to proof of vaccination, all guests 18 years or older must also present a government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport. Guests younger than 18 may use a government-issued photo ID or school photo ID. Guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who meets the above requirements.

What if my proof-of-vaccination is not in English?

We will be accepting proof-of-vaccination for all FDA and WHO approved vaccines. If your proof-of-vaccination is not in English, please locate a COVID Safety Officer or other Theatre employee for assistance at your time of entry.

What is your mask policy?

Vaccinated guests are invited to wear or not wear a mask as is most comfortable for them. Guests under the age of 16 who are not vaccinated, as well as those who are not vaccinated due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief, must properly wear a mask at all times while inside the building except while eating or drinking when seated.

Is theatre seating socially distant?

All seating for SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY is not socially distant.

What other COVID protocols will be in place?

  • Contactless options will be available for transactions upon entry and for in-venue purchases.
  • All auditorium ventilation systems have been upgraded to MERV 13 filters.
  • EPA approved cleaning products are used along with rigorous cleaning and sanitation protocols.

At The Theatre

Can I bring signs / Will Bruce be taking requests?

Signs will not be allowed into the theatre for these performances. Bruce wants you to come and experience his story as he tells it in the intimate setting of the Broadway theatre.

Can I use my phone to take pictures during the show?

Photos will be allowed before the performance begins, and when the house lights come up at the end of the show.

All electronic devices should be shut off when the performance begins and the taking of photos or videos during the performance is strictly prohibited. Bruce has chosen this intimate setting to tell his story so he can be close to everybody. He wants you to experience the show directly, not through a device. In addition, every time you raise a camera, take a photo or check your phone for text messages, your seat neighbors will turn to look at you as you create light. Everybody should be there to experience Bruce, and any distractions are unfair to your fellow fans.

What time do doors open?

Doors will open at approximately 6:45PM. Please leave extra time and plan to arrive early for vaccine verification and security checkpoints. The performance begins promptly at 8PM. Latecomers will be seated at management’s discretion if seat location allows them to be seated without disrupting the show or fellow audience members.

How do I get an assistive device?

The St. James Theatre offers audio induction neck loops for those who have a “T” switch on their hearing aid or cochlear implant, and infrared headsets to enhance sound and dialogue. If an assistive device would help you enjoy the show, please visit the headset booth in the Orchestra lobby. There is no charge, but a valid photo ID is required as a deposit.

Is there a bag check at the St. James Theatre?

Guests should limit what they bring to the theatre to a small bag or purse. If you have a bag or large coat, we’d be happy to check it for you. Our coat check is on the Orchestra level. The charge is $3 per item.

Will concessions be available at my performance?

Drinks and snacks can be purchased at the bars on each level of the theatre. Please bring concessions to your seat to enjoy.

How can I purchase SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY merchandise?

Merchandise will be available for purchase on every level starting 1 hour before curtain and directly after the show.
